John B. Thomas Gathering Place boasts one of the most beautiful and rustic surroundings for you on your wedding day. Our serene 100 acre farm venue offers the perfect backdrop with endless options for an indoor or outdoor ceremony and reception. Our pastures are filled with Black Angus cows and our fields are laden with hay. We enjoy spectacular sunsets each evening! Our family has made countless memories on the farm for three generations and it is our wish to share the magical atmosphere of John Bs and our farm setting with you!
The gathering place, tobacco barn, and bar area create the perfect pairing for intimate celebrations. Here at John B's, our event team are there every step of the way, from the early booking stages all the way to the send off at the evening reception and beyond. We are there until the last guest at your wedding is taken care of and on safely on their way.

The Gathering Place
With over 2000 square ft of room, The Gathering Place is the perfect location to have your vendors set up shop. The Gathering Place has a full industrial kitchen for your caterers, two bathrooms, and an open floor plan that would be perfect to host cocktail hour. This space is so versatile and can be flipped into anything your hearts desire!
The GP comfortably accommodates up to 70 guests seated and up to 50 guests for a cocktail-style reception. This space is perfect for cocktail hour and food service with addition to the Cocktail Barn.
Cocktail Hour & Bar
The perfect area for your bar vendors to set up shop! Completely separate from the Gathering Place & The Tobacco Barn, this is an awesome place to have your guest congregate to after your ceremony. With a decorated gazebo and patio adjacent to the Bar area, your guests will never feel overcrowded here at John Bs.
Ceremony Locations & Grounds
With wide open grassy fields and natural backdrops in every direction, the farm offers endless possibilities for your ceremony setting. Choose the spot that feels most like you and let the landscape create the perfect backdrop for your “I do” — and for all of your photos throughout the day.
The Bridal Suite
Wake up & start getting ready here in our bridal suite in the main house of John Bs. With amazing salon style getting ready stations, this will be the perfect start to you & your bridesmaids day.
The Grooms House
Start your day in the Groom’s House at John B’s — a relaxed, comfortable space designed for you and your guys to get ready and enjoy the moments before “I do.” With plenty of room to spread out, unwind, and take it all in, it’s the perfect place to kick off the celebration together.
